Children under 3
Children who are aged three and under are very welcome to stay within the main body of the church for the entire service. However if parents feel it appropriate, there is a 'breakout' room available which is equipped with toys and books suitable for the children. At the moment this room is unsupervised and it is therefore advised that grown ups take responsibility for their own child or children. We are looking in the future to have supervision in this room so that parents can stay in the service, so watch this space for more updates.
Children 3 - 7
Children in this age group, whilst still welcome to attend the main service, might be more interested in attending a Junior Church session. The children attend the sessions without their grown-ups (who hopefully will be able to relax and enjoy the service in church). The sessions start at the same time as the church service (10.00 am) and finish in time for the children to return to their grown ups in time for the lead up to Communion (about 10.45). The emphasis is on learning about the Christian journey with a healthy dose of fun, stories and activities to make the experience less a lesson and more like fun!
Junior Church sessions run most Sundays (apart from during the Summer holidays and when the church is having a multi-generational service) and we look forward to welcoming your child. Oh and there are always biscuits and juice available after church!
